12 Holiday Moves That Are Guaranteed To Make You Ugly Cry

It's the most wonderful time of the year! You can finally wear cute and cozy sweaters, switch up your outfits with a beanie, drink Starbucks holiday drinks, and go all-out with the Christmas music and movies! Every year I have a list of movies that I have to watch during this time of year. And it gets me so excited for the holidays! I love watching holiday movies, but they're so sappy sometimes that they make me bawl my eyes out! It's just an emotional roller coaster! Here's a list of movies that are guaranteed to make you sob every single time you watch them. You might even tear up just reading about them!

1. Love Actually

The happy AND sad storylines make me cry. THERE'S TOO MUCH GOING ON IN THIS MOVIE. The part that always gets me is when Emma Thompson's character is crying in her room listening to Joni Mitchell. Or what about when Joanna gives Sam a kiss?! *SOBS*

2. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Don't you dare tell me you don't start tearing up when the Grinch's heart grows three sizes. HE BECOMES A GOOD PERSON AND EVERYTHING WORKS OUT IN THE END.

3. The Polar Express

The boy goes from not believing in Santa to believing in him forever. THE BELL STILL RINGS FOR HIM BECAUSE HE BELIEVES. *SOBS*

4. Jack Frost

Michael Keaton's character is trying to connect with his son... WHEN HE'S BEEN TURNED INTO A SNOWMAN. Honestly, this whole movie makes me a complete emotional wreck.

5. Home Alone 2

You know the moment I'm talking about. Kevin gives the second turtledove to the pigeon lady. Pass the tissues, please! That scene destroys me.

6. Frosty the Snowman

Uh... what's not upsetting about this movie? The kids have to deal with Frosty melting away.

7. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

I cried when Rudolph was being bullied and then I cried even more when he became the hero at the end!

8. It's a Wonderful Life

This one is guaranteed to make everyone ugly cry. Everyone saves George and Clarence gets his wings. HOW CAN THIS NOT JUST MAKE YOU WANT TO BAWL YOUR EYES OUT?!

9. Miracle on 34th Street

Susan gets her Christmas wish. ALL THREE WISHES COME TRUE. 

10. The Muppet Christmas Carol

This is truly Michael Caine's best performance. Ebeneezer is a mean person until he realizes he has to change his ways. He gets a turkey dinner for the family and becomes a second dad to Tiny Tim.

11. Elf

Who else is already sobbing when Jovie gets the whole crowd of people to sing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and that raises enough Christmas spirit to power the sleigh? PEOPLE FINALLY LISTEN TO BUDDY AND CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IS A REAL THING. I'm already tearing up just thinking about this scene!

12. A Charlie Brown Christmas

The kids all help to redecorate the tree for Charlie Brown. And they start singing together around the tree. A flood of tears comes out of me every single time.
