You know all those amazing galaxy photos from the Hubble Space Telescope? Well, if you're like me a drool over the beauty of each and every one of them, now you can enjoy that same feeling at home with these incredible ceramic pieces by Sublime Pottery.
Sublime Pottery is by artisan Amanda Joy Wells.
All her pieces are thrown by hand on a pottery wheel, not mass-produced.
This means that every mug, vase, and bowl is a one-of-a-kind work of art.
By mixing glazes and techniques, each piece comes out looking like a bit of space brought to Earth.
Bonus: all the glazes are food safe!
I love every last one of them, and so does her avid online following: her store sells out within minutes whenever she restocks it.
The only way to know when new items post on Etsy is to watch her Facebook page for the announcements.
See more of her work on the next page!
While all her pieces are dishwasher-safe, Wells recommends treating them kindly.
You know, not like that novelty mug you bought once at a truck stop at 3 a.m. because you thought the lewd joke written on it was funny, but now you only live with the embarrassment because of its giant coffee capacity.
I love the small bowls. They'd be perfect to hold dips on an appetizer plate when entertaining.
The unusual shape makes the mugs really stand out as art rather than simple caffeine transportation.
Since the final colors aren't visible until after the glaze is fired in the kiln, even the artist can get a great surprise!
"You should have seen the happy dance I did when I pulled these out of the kiln!" she posted about these three mugs on Facebook. I can see why!
Do you love these as much as I do? SHARE them with all your friends and family!
