Man Unknowingly Finds Pearl Worth $100-Million And Keeps It Under His Bed

There are so many places across the globe that can be explored and, quite honestly, it seems as if it's infinite. If we've managed to conquer all of the places above land, there is still the entirety of the oceans to explore — but let's be honest, we haven't even come close to exploring oceans. There are so many crazy and awesome things down there that we're still finding new things on a daily basis. Some of the ugliest creatures (that's mean, I know) in the entire world can be found down there (hello, blobfish), not to mention extremely scary and dangerous ones, like great white sharks. Fortunately, good things come from the ocean, too!

Pearls are one of the great treasures to come from the ocean.

One Filipino fisherman happened to find a significant pearl when he was out during a storm.

His anchor was stuck on a rock. When he went to release it, he noticed a giant clam, so he brought it up with him.

Thinking it was nothing other than a good luck charm, he put the pearl and the clam under his bed.

10 years later, after his house had burned down, he gave this to his aunt to put up for display. To their amazement, they learned the pearl was worth more than $100-million!

Believe it or not, the pearl weighs about 75 pounds. That's as much as some children!
