But as questionable and cringe-worthy as these nail looks are, they are undoubtedly entertaining. Ready for a good laugh? Keep scrolling for a list of 12 manicures that simply made us ask why?
1. Spiral Nails
The spiral nail is only one of the questions I have about this manicure. Why are her nails so long? How does she use her hands? Why the rhinestone overload? Just why?
2. Water Bottle Nails
I'm not sure if this girl was running out of nail design ideas or just loves herself a good water bottle. Neither answer was an acceptable enough reason to produce this manicure.
3. Bubble Nails
I'm not even totally sure why these bubble nails freak me out so much. Wouldn't they be super heavy?
4. Cheese Nails
I am a self-proclaimed cheese lover but I definitely don't find this manicure necessary. Swiss cheese is better suited for crackers and sandwiches, in my humble opinion.
5. Pom Pom Nails
I think the most obvious question about this manicure is how do you wash your hands? You wouldn't, which is why this manicure idea is a hard no.
6. Pierced Nails
Pierced ears are cute. Noses and bellybuttons? Sure. But nails? Really?!
7. Polish Mountain Nails
This is one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. What is the appeal of dumping 87 coats of polish onto your nails?
8. Cotton Candy Nails
For the same reason as #5, this cotton candy manicure is a no-go. Stick to eating this sweet treat at the fair, not applying it to your nail beds.
9. Furry Nails
This strange, werewolf-inspired nail look was a huge trend on a few fall fashion week runways. Again, HOW do you wash your hands? Gross.
10. Stitched Nails
These bloody, stitched nails are even a little extreme for a Halloween costume. My stomach is starting to turn.
11. Money Nails
Unnecessary factor: high.
12. 3D Food Nails
Don't get me wrong, I totally love fair food. But more so when I'm eating it and not when it's in a three-dimensional version on my fingertips.
