Playboy Mansion Finally Sold For $100,000,000

There are so many things in the world that become iconic over time. With the amount of people that are constantly traveling, it's no wonder certain places become known for their structures. Paris is often known for the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and so many other places (let's be serious, Paris is absolutely loaded), Egypt for the amazing Pyramids of Giza, and Rio De Janeiro, Brazil for the "Christ The Redeemer" statue that overlooks the entire city. Then there are other places that are known more-so for their notoriety, like the Playboy Mansion. Back in the day, the Playboy Mansion used to be somewhere people would dream about, but in more recent years, the hype has died down. With less attention being drawn to it, the owners were forced to make a bold move.

This is the legendary Playboy Mansion (which is clearly a castle). What's happening to it, you ask?

Well, it hasn't really been a secret that the Playboy Mansion and its five acres of land have been put up for sale at a whopping price of $200-million.

Sadly for Hugh Heffner, the Playboy Mansion hasn't been looking its best in recent years.

In fact, it looks really rundown and, well, depressing (look at that old seat). Eventually, someone did buy it, but not at the asking price.

Daren Metropoulos, the former co-CEO of Pabst Brewing Company and the Hef's neighbor, bought the place for $100-million — only half the asking price!

Unfortunately for Metropoulos, the house was sold under the condition that Heffner will continue living there.

When his tenancy ends, Metropoulos plans to combine the two pieces of land. Well, I guess every legacy must come to an end.
