Leftovers can be a glorious thing—the ghostly remnants of dinner's past resurrected to be enjoyed one more time. You shovel in that mouthful of reheated shepherd's pie and it seems as if the flavors have somehow enhanced as they sat in the cold fridge, waiting to be consumed. Leftovers can also be like an ex that just can't let things go and keeps showing up, unwanted, even though you've moved on and are looking forward to newer and better things. Microwaves can leave your once-delicious meal a soggy or dried out mess. It can destroy delicious dinners and turn them into tasteless masses. Don't let this happen to the meals that you worked so hard to make. Take those leftovers and reheat them the proper way, so that you can retain the flavors and textures that you enjoyed so much the first time. Because here at Diply, we're all about enjoying your food.
What you'll need:
- leftovers
- olive oil
- frying pan
- aluminum foil
- oven
The method:
For fries you're going to want to coat a frying pan in oil and heat that baby up. Toss your fries in and warm them up, while keeping the outsides crispy and delicious. Feel free to salt again, if you're addicted to sodium.
For pasta simply toss some olive oil right on the noodles and mix. Place it in an oven-safe dish and cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. YUM!
Pizza can be placed in an oiled frying pan. Heat it up. Then add in a splash of water to the pan and cover with a lid until it's heated through.
