1. Steve Irwin and Charles Darwin owned the same exact tortoise.

Darwin found Harriet the tortoise during a visit to the Galapagos Islands in 1835. She died in Australia in 2006 at the age of 175.

2. The entire internet weighs about the same as a strawberry.

Data actually weighs something!

3. Leonardo DiCaprio's mother gave him his name because she was looking at a Leonardi DiVinci painting when he first kicked. 

4. European countries have attempted to deal with rabies-infected foxes by air-dropping thousands of chickens that had received a vaccine for the illness. 

In the late 70's and early 80's, vaccine loaded chicken heads were dropped all over the countryside to get infected animals to vaccinatethemselves. 

5. A person's belly button has an ecosystem of bacteria as complex as a rainforest.

6. Scientists were stumped when they found a tomato plant on a volcanic island. They realized it came from a scientist who passed a seed through his feces.

7. There is an H-bomb somewhere off the coast of Georgia right now.

In 1958, an Air Force jet and a B-47 bomber holding a 7,000 pound H-bomb collided off the coast of the United States. The pilot dropped the bomb into the water out of fear that the badly damaged plane would not be able to hold the bomb over land. 

8. A woman in England has an extra cone receptor in her eye, and, as a result, can perceive 99 million more colors than the average person. 

9. Reno, Nevada is actually located farther west than Los Angeles, California. 

10. There are more fake flamingos in the United States than real ones. 

Americans loves flamingos, but want to avoid the hassle of cleaning up after them!
