The Moon Is Always Full With These Stunning Lamps

SHARE
In elementary school, I read every book available about space and astronomy. I was obsessed and continually annoyed at the school library's tiny collection. Though my love isn't quite so rabid anymore, I still enjoy stargazing and keep up with the newest space discoveries as they come.

I totally want one of these moon-inspired lamps for my bedroom. It would be such a pleasant and pretty way to fall asleep.

Pulsar Moonlight didn't start out as a traditional business. The lamps were initially sold to raise money for homeless animals.

They were so popular that once the campaign was over, the artist started it up as a full business.

Each lamp is safe for indoor or outdoor use, so it would be an awesome addition to a garden.

It's all glowy and romantic!

The moons start as clear lamp orbs, and using acrylic paints and scientific photos, they layer the details onto the surface.

The process is time-consuming as they try to get the details as accurate as possible.

Every lamp is sealed with a water-based lacquer that protects it from scratches of other damage.

It is the lacquer that allows the lamps to be used outdoors, as it also protects from elemental damage.

They do planet lamps too! Check them out on the next page!

The artist has begun to branch out into other celestial bodies, adding planets like this Neptune lamp to the catalog.

I love the bright, bright blue.

Jupiter's distinctive storm looks awesome all lit up!

The surfaces are textured to add extra realism to the final look.

Mars looks great even with the light turned off.

Depending on the type of bulb you choose (cool or warm toned), the effect of the lamp will change. According to the artist, a cool-toned bulb makes Mars look the most realistic.

Still, I think the moon is my favorite of the bunch.
