15 On-Set Secrets About The 'Divergent' Movies

The Divergent movies (and books!) are amazing, am I right? I mean, everyone raves about The Hunger Gamesand The Maze Runner but LBR, Divergent is where it's at! But seriously, who else just wanted to cry when they read the news that the last Divergent movie wasn't going to be released in theaters?! It's just cruel for all the fans! But at least we have three amazing movies to rewatch over and over again until Ascendant comes out on TV! Let's all calm down, look at some pictures of Theo James as Four, know that Four and Tris are an amazing couple and find out some really cool on-set secrets about the Divergent movies!

1. Shailene Woodley actually turned down the role of Tris at first! But she ended up talking to Jennifer Lawrence about it who told her she HAD to take it. 

2. Ansel Elgort played Shailene's brother in the Divergent movies but he played her BF in The Fault in Our Stars. 

3. Miles Teller said that he had fun playing a character who was mean to Shailene because he had played her boyfriend in Spectacular Now. 

4. When Tris punches Peter, the sound that Miles makes is real! Shailene actually punched him in the throat by accident! 

5. Theo James did ALL of his own fight stunts. He said no to stunt doubles and they listened!

6. Theo said filming Divergent with Shailene was tough because of the kissing scene! He really wanted the kissing scene to be 100% perfect for the fans of the book.

7. The whole cast went through boot camp training for two months before filming started on Divergent! 

8. That kissing scene was intense between Tris and Four, right? Well, there was originally going to be a love scene too! It was filmed and everything but it had to be canceled.

9. Shailene cut her hair for The Fault in Our Starsand didn't want to wear a wig so that's why Tris' hair is short for Insurgent!

10. Did you notice that Caleb runs weird in Insurgent? Ansel said it's because Caleb isn't a superhero like Shailene or Theo. Caleb is more of a nerd who isn't physical so he decided to do that weird running style! 

11. Most of Miles's scenes in Insurgent are of Shailene's character beating him up.

12. Ellie Goulding provided the "inner voice" for Tris in Divergent. Theo said that you can hear her voice in the background of some important scenes, mixed in with the film score!

13. After the first Dauntless test, the rankings are on the board behind Eric. Did you notice that "Tris" is misspelled as "Triss"?

14. Shailene is thankful for doing the movie series because she got to become besties with Theo!
