12 Costume Fails More Nightmarish Than A Clown

Professional cosplayers spend thousands on their sumptuous, detailed finery to transform into characters that exist only in imagination. However, we can't all afford to live out our dreams like professional cosplayers. Heck, most of us are lucky if we can cobble together a reasonable zombie costume at Halloween. 

These attempts don't even come close to professional, although in some cases, people might have spent a dozen or two hours planning and making them. They might not hit the mark, but in their own way, these costumes sure are scary!

1. The Avengers

Mostly they're just not good, but that Hulk will haunt you.

2. The Hulk

Speaking of the Hulk, this two-person costume is something else.

3. The Hulk (again)

There must be something about the Hulk's face that folks just can't get right. And when it's wrong, it's wrong. 

Also, the Hulk would never skip leg day.

Animation might be a bad choice to begin with...

4. Ryuk

This character from the anime Death Note isn't supposed to be a barrel of laughs, but wow, yikes.

5. Rafiki (and Simba)

Well, the cat nailed its part.

6. Fluttershy

Usually My Little Ponies are more magical.

No, really, The Simpsons just doesn't translate...

7. Homer Simpson

Hope you didn't want to sleep tonight.

8. Homer Simpson (again)

D'oh! The lesson is, never try.

9. Bart Simpson

Ay caramba!

10. Barney

Speaking of The Simpsons, this Barney the Dinosaur gets a little too close to Barney Gumble.

11. Chewbacca

Many boxes died for this costume.

12. Leonardo

It clearly isn't easy being green, because this Leonardo doesn't need any martial arts skills to make bad guys run away screaming.
