Australia, do you ever fail to amaze us? This next video just takes it to the next level. Yeah, we see tons of videos of creepy spiders, or snakes, but you probably haven't ever seen a deadly eastern brown snake fight it out with a redback spider. In western Australia, Jamii-Leigh Marwick's son ran to show her what he found in the shed after walking in on something that most of us would evacuate our homes over. To her surprise, her son had found an eastern brown snake caught in a giant redback spider web. Both the brown snake and redback spider are incredibly venomous, which makes this video even more horrifying. The redback spider is closely related to the black widow, a spider that we are more familiar inNorth America.
The battle that ensued, which is caught in the video provided here, ended up being a losing one for the snake. The video shows the struggle put up by the snake who seems to realize that it needs to try to get out of the web as quickly as possible. Eventually, the spider was able to get a hold of the snake and liquefy it. What in the hell!?! Below is a picture from Jamii-Leigh Marwick showing the aftermath of the fight. The spider's venom slowly degraded the snake's bodily tissue, and over time, the snake became a mushy object that the spider could finally drink. Yes, drink.
