Lost Facts About The 'Jackass' Fallen Brother, Ryan Dunn

SHARE

Jackass was one of my favorite shows that I remember growing up.

It had everything I ever wanted. Cool dudes. Pranks. A tiny person.

And even more pranks. I loved all of them from Johnny Knoxville who was the ringleader of the entire operation. But he wasn't the one I loved most.

But then there's Ryan Dunn. The bearded beauty who I split a gut constantly to.

But then tragedy struck. On Jun 22, 2011, Ryan died in a horrific car accident from driving his sports car at 130 miles an hour.

The fiery crash killed both him and his passenger. Memorials were put up around the crash site.

The Jackass crew was never the same, Johnny Knoxville said he'd lost a brother. The fearless Jackass sidekick was a LEGEND and there are some things I've been reminiscing on since his passing. Such as...

1. That he was CONSTANTLY being mistaken for fellow bearded funnyman Zach Galifianakis.

On May 17, 2011 he tweeted, "The next person who asks me if I'm the guy from the Hangover is getting a big wet kiss on the lips!"

2. If you can believe it, he was COVERED in crazy tattoos exactly like Steve-O.

One of them favorite bands the Red Hot Chili Peppers, a plus sign, some weights and even a BMW logo.

AKA he was a tat god.

3. He acted with Jessica Simpson in a movie called Blonde Ambition.

He played a small role as a guy named Griswold.

4. He hosted MTV's Homewreckerwhere he trashed houses. He'd get people to appear on the show who wanted to get revenge on people who wronged them.

5. He also LOVED video games to the point that he hosted a show where he'd recreate stunts in video games and movies and see if they could do them in real life.

It was called Proving Ground – he and Jessica Chobot hosted it on G4.

6. He starred in an indie film called, Haggardwhich was based on the true story of how he got over a cheating ex.

SPOILER ALERT: He believes in love again. Best friend Bam Margera financed and directed it.

7. The only reason Jackass came a-calling was because he and Bam would do DIY Jackass-style videos where they'd kick footballs at moving cars, skateboard tricks, jump off buildings and even kick each other in the face.

Jackassproducers noticed and they gave Dunn a spot in the Jackasscrew in 2000.
