16 Life Lessons Michael Scott Taught Us

SHARE
It's weird to talk about but I used to have a favorite day of the week. Sure, most people say Friday because that means there's no more school or work. But not me! My favorite day was Thursday because of all the amazing TV shows that would air that night! There were tons of dramas (Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Private Practice) and comedies (Parks and Recreation, Community, 30 Rock) to watch. But the show that I looked forward to the most? It was definitely The Office.

Every episode, Michael Scott was doing something absolutely insane. He really was the world's best boss! For seven seasons, Michael has been teaching everyone about life through one liners. And here's the best of Michael Scott's teachings.

1. Stay curious by asking the important questions in life.

2.  Always be honest with yourself. Especially when it comes to your feelings.

How everybody feels on Wednesday, am I right?!

3. When nothing is going your way, it is fully acceptable to just scream and revert back to being a child to get what you want.

4. Just accept that there's only one way to truly deal with your responsibilities.

Run, run, run away.

5. Always keep a neutral face when you hear the worst news of your life.

6. Never diminish the importance of wanting to be loved.

7. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Note: when dealing with your enemy, always have this face.

8. In a tense situation, always play dumb.

9. Be confident and know your worth. You're not a Kelly Rowland or a Michelle Williams. You. Are. Beyoncé.

10. Know when to display your passion for things. Or, you know, learn to expression your apathy for life.

11. Learn to live on the wild side. Yes, that means doing very dangerous feats.

"Erin, scissor me!" Pam's face is everything in this GIF.

12. Always stay on top of what the cool kids are saying. Any new slang and you're on it.

13. Never just listen to what society tells you is right or wrong. You can do whatever you want!

14. Always say everything that's on your mind. It doesn't matter if you have no idea what you're saying or if it makes no sense.

Everyone deserves to hear what you think.

15. Always be realistic when it comes to money.

16. Be super complimentary to your friends, family and coworkers!
