I always pretended to loathe heading back to school but secretly I loved it. After all, there's only so much lounging and tanning one person can do in a summer. Going back to school means new experiences, new outfits, and now, new nail trends! If you're a nail enthusiast like me, a fresh and unique nail design is always part of your first-day outfit. And fortunately, there are many new easynail designs to experiment with this fall. If you're in search of the perfect back to school look, read ahead for a list of 12 easy nail designs that are sure to leave your classmates speechless.

1. Neon Tips

French manicures now mean something entirely different with this look. Swap out the clear base and white tips for a neutral base and electric, neon tips.

2. Dainty Sparkles

Unleash your inner ballerina with this simple nail design. Swipe on a clear polish for your base, and apply a light layer of gold or silver sparkles on top.

3. Half-Moon

Be the envy of your classmates with this chic nail design. Hole punch reinforcement stickers will be your best friends in achieving this look.

4. Polka Dots

This fun look is almost too easy. Try using the end of a bobby pin for bigger dots and a toothpick for smaller ones.

5. Pollock-Inspired

Achieve this look by lining your nail beds with tape and splattering your favorite shades on a neutral base.

6. Asymmetrical

Try this runway-ready look by applying black or navy slanted designs over a nude or grey base.

7. Ombré Glitter

This design may appear complicated but it's super user-friendly. Simply slap on a great base color and add a sparkly polish to the bottoms or tops of your nails.

8. Metallic Cuticles

One of the hottest nail trends for this fall is changing the focus from your tips to your cuticles. Use a light neutral as your base and line cuticles with a great metallic hue.

9. Sharpie Lines

Sharpies are no longer just useful for paper products. Use a thin-tipped marker to create interesting line designs on a neutral base.

10. Claws

What's more fun than feline-inspired nails? Not much. Try using scotch tape to perfect these tip designs.

11. Heart Tips

This design adds a cutesy spin on #10. Apply two curved lines to your tips to create this cupid-inspired look.

12. Ultra Modern

This super edgy look is a must-try for this fall. Simply swipe on a clear coat and use tape to create a single, silvery line on each nail.
