Mother and Son Willing To Risk Jail To Continue Forbidden Love Affair

Love is such a wonderful thing. It's so wonderful, in fact, that it's actually one of the most sought after things in the world. For the most part, whoever you talk to will be looking for love, assuming they haven't yet found it. For me, finding my fiancé was such a wonderful thing. She brings true joy to me every single day and I couldn't imagine my life without her, so it makes sense that love would be so important to human beings. On top of that, there's no doubt you've heard things like "love knows no number" in order to justify a relationship between people who are a few years apart (but still legal). Ultimately, it's up to the people in that relationship. Oddly, however, some people take it a bittoo far and, well, fall in love with family members.

Meet Caleb Peterson and Monica Mares.

They look like a regular mom and son duo, right? Well, they actually have an interesting quirk.

Monica had Caleb when she was only 16, so she gave him up for adoption shortly after his birth. 

After 18 years, they were finally reunited, but something crazy happened that caused them to begin raising awareness for their... "Quirk."

Upon becoming reunited, they actually fell in love with each other. Yes, I'm talking ROMANTIC love.

Within weeks, they progressed to sexual endeavors.

People all around became outraged at their relationship since it was incestuous and deemed inappropriate.

A court order has forced them to stop seeing each other or, according to state laws, they could face up to three years in prison.

As a result, they've gone completely public with their relationship, hoping to raise awareness about "genetic sexual attraction" relationships.

"If they lock me up for love then they lock me up. There is no way anybody could pull us apart, and I really do love him," Monica said in a recent interview.
