The world is patiently awaiting the completion of one of Elon Musk's most ambitious project ever, the enormous Tesla Gigafactory. This factory will be one of the biggest self-sustaining facilities ever created, and people already want a sneak peek of the construction that is in progress.

Drone footage of the factory has hit the web, and people are freaking out about the insane size of the factory so far. You have to see it for yourself...

Leave a COMMENT on Facebook letting us know your thoughts about this crazy new footage.
Elon Musk is slowly releasing details and allowing more and more footage of the construction site at his Tesla Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada to be revealed.

Here he is sitting in the factory itself. You won't believe the massive scale of this project...

His new factory is scheduled to be completed by 2018 and will rival Boeing's giant airplane factory in size.

Rumor has it that the structure will be anywhere between 5 million and 10 million square feet. Obviously, based on the wide range of this estimated size, it's hard to predict for sure how big the factory will be.

When compared to the biggest buildings in the world, the Gigafactory could easily dwarf the Burj Khalifa.

This giant factory will be able to produce 35 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of battery power per year. Elon Musk's ultimate goal was to produce an incredibly energy-efficient and less wasteful facility for the production of Tesla's vehicles.

Drone footage specialist Duncan Sinfield was able to fly a drone near the giant facility and get some exclusive footage.

After seeing this footage, no one could say the Tesla Gigafactory is small. Wow, check out the vehicles for scale!

You have to see the rest...

It's huge, and it isn't even finished yet!

Below is what the factory is predicted to look like when construction finishes.

It still seems like there is a long way to go, but the results are already stunning.

By the time the factory is completed in 2018, it is predicted to produce more lithium-ion batteries than was produced by all factories worldwide in 2013.

Now that's pretty incredible, right?

That Elon Musk, I'll tell ya.

Here's the full video showing all of the new exclusive drone footage.
