The Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson relationship was one for the books.
Not everyone was #TeamEdward but fans definitely adored Robsten while it lasted.
The two always attended movie premieres together as "friends", but fans were getting anxious to see something more from the pair.
It literally took them YEARS to take their low profile relationship public, and even when they did, they still tried to stay low-key.
It didn't take long for things to head south. You could tell the pressures of the media was a lot to handle and they had zero privacy.
Maybe that's why they wanted to keep things on the DL?
Having zero privacy is exactly how the world found out that Kristen had cheated on Rob with Rupert Sanders, the director of Snow White and the Huntsman.
Rupert was married at the time, but his wife filed for divorce shortly after the pictures were leaked. Kristen and Rupert both released public apologies, but the damage had clearly been done.
The two had work to do and both appeared together at the Teen Choice Awardsjust a few days later with no mention of the scandal.
Afterward, however, a whole bunch of drama went down. The two were seen bickering in public, and Rob was spotted moving out of their home just a few days after the scandal.
Oh, and Kristen was seen pretty much freaking out and snapping at everyone, including her personal trainer. Maybe she didn't want to follow his workout regime, or maybe she couldn't handle the stress. Who knows.
All the drama didn't actually last that long, because they both seemed to get it together and were suddenly an item again, but not for long.
Is anyone else getting dizzy? I'll sum things up for you: they end up breaking up. Again.
Kristen is now in a relationship with her former assistant, Alicia Cargile, and is FINALLY opening up about her past with Rob.
She explained that "people wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn’t real life anymore. And that was gross to me."
“It’s not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I’m doing in my life. It’s that I don’t want to become a part of a story for entertainment value," she continued.
Sounds like she's totally fed up with the media speculation and paparazzi. We don't blame her!
She even commented on her relationship with Alicia, and said, “I would never talk about any of my relationships before, but once I started dating girls it seemed like there was an opportunity to represent something really positive, I still want to protect my personal life, but I don’t want to seem like I’m protecting the idea."
Do you think Kristen should have addressed the cheating scandal, or should everyone just let it go? COMMENT and tell us what you think!
