14 Celeb Moms Proud Of Their Imperfect Post-Baby Bods

SHARE
Female celebs already have to live up to impossible standards! Hollywood just expects every single woman to look like their 20 years old for the rest of their life and it's totally unfair. Celebs have to be runway ready, like, a week after they've given birth. A week! After they've given birth to an actual human! It's crazy, right? But it's amazing that stars have been using social media to talk about the unrealistic expectations and post-baby body confidence. They're speaking out about it and are ready to put an end to body shaming. Here are the celebs who got real and are proud of their new bodies!

1. Blake Lively called out two interviewers when they complimented her bikini body. She said it's unfair to expect every woman to be "Victoria's Secret-ready" after having a baby.

She also said that a woman's body should be celebrated just because they gave birth and not because of how fast they can bounce back. She emphasized that people need to be proud of their post-baby bodies!

2. Kim Kardashian has spoken out about how cruel people have been about how long it took her to lose the baby weight. She said that it's unfair and that she's decided to change her attitude about her post-baby body for her daughter, North.

She doesn't compare herself to other women and she's more body positive so she can set a good example for North. She's embraced her body and the changes she's gone through because they remind her what she's been able to create: two little angels.

3. Keira Knightley admitted that she used to get hung up over certain parts of her body but it all changed after she went through pregnancy and labor. She realized that her body is amazing and promised to never dislike any part of her body ever again!

Keira also said that she hopes other people embrace the weight gain or stretch marks and realize that it's all worth it now that there's a baby involved!

4. Olivia Wilde is known to be one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood! And she told Shape magazine that she wants to live in a world where "mothers are not expected to shed any physical evidence of their child-bearing experience."

Olivia said her body has definitely changed since being pregnant with Otis but she embraces it and doesn't care what the media or anyone else says!

5. Chrissy Teigen is sassy all the time on social media and it's amazing. She posted a Snap of her stretch marks that she got when she was pregnant with Luna.

She said she posted that because she wanted to let new moms know that she is going through body changes too so we wouldn't be fooled by Photoshop!

Chrissy is so inspirational! She said in an interview that new moms should never feel pressure to lose the weight immediately. She said to enjoy the new baby, the new body and to tune out any negative people!

I am obsessed with Chrissy. She's so body positive and it's important for people to realize that celebs are just like us! They don't have perfect bodies. They have access to Photoshop!

6. Zooey Deschanel got real during an interview and said it was straight up weird that women are expected to bounce back immediately after birthing a human!

"You just grew a human and then birthed that human – there's a lot that needs to go back to where it was. All your organs move around!"

7. Anne Hathaway posted on Instagram that she wants every woman to believe that there's no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy! And that there's no shame in taking a long time to lose the weight either.

You go, Anne! She said what we were all thinking: "Bodies change. Bodies grow. It's all love."

8. Carrie Underwood said she has more respect for her body after she gave birth and she just wants new moms to feel good about themselves.

"My body changed to make another human being, and that's amazing." YAAASSS CARRIE!

9. Amy Adams said that being pregnant made her realize that she wasn't put on this earth to look good in a bikini! She said that she has a better relationship with her body now and understands that it's all for carrying a baby!

Amy just gets it. I love that she's so body positive!

10. Kerry Washington said that she's not focused on being "back" to any body shape that she was before. She wants to be focused on going forward, caring for her child and being the best version of herself right now.

"My body is the site of a miracle right now. I don't want to be pre-miracle." Kerry, you're the best. Keep on spreading the love and positivity!

11. Kate Winslet is all about imperfections! She said that "nobody is perfect" and she's proud of just looking in the mirror and seeing exactly who she is: a fantastic mother whose body carried human life!

12. Drew Barrymore admitted that it's hard to stay positive and love yourself after having kids. But she said that it's important to focus on how beautiful it is to be able to carry life in your body.

She also said when she loses sight of that thought, she spends time with her kids and reads Dr. Seuss's Oh, the Places You'll Go!

13. After Kristen Bell gave birth to her daughter Lincoln, she started calling her post-baby belly "Lincoln Leftovers." She said she's proud of her body because it's proof that she did something extraordinary.

"I gave life to my new BFF and she gave me a comical amount of midsection skin."

14. Jennifer Garner loves her belly after giving birth to three children. She said it's a beautiful reminder that she's carried three babies and they're her whole life now!

Jen just seems like the greatest mom. She's always so positive!
