1. The most wonderful love story began in September 2013 when Amal and George met through mutual friends at a charity fundraiser.
2. They made their first public appearance in London while having dinner together at a swanky hotel.
George's rep denied they were dating BUT WE KNOW THE TRUTH OKAY.
3. George is notoriously very private about his personal life and who he's dating but he had no trouble opening up to Entertainment Tonight about his feelings for Amal.
"I've never been happier in a relationship by any stretch of the imagination."
"She's an amazing human being. And she's caring. And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever met. And she's got a great sense of humor. There's a number of reasons why."

5. They dated for a few months before George pops the question! Apparently, he made her a home-cooked meal and then got down on one knee.
6. George is no slouch when it comes to getting a ring! Amal sports a $750,000 ring! It's a 7-carat, emerald-cut diamond set in a platinum band.
7. It's not all smooth sailing for the couple! George went after the Daily Mail when the newspaper published an article that claimed Amal's mother didn't approve of her daughter's marriage to George because of his religion.
George was furious and wrote that the article was completely "fabricated" and "dangerous." But everything worked out for the couple. They're stronger than ever!
8. George says, "I feel like an idiot when I'm talking to my own wife!" After all, Amal is a lawyer, activist and author!
Everybody thinks that George is the hot shot in the relationship but even he admitted that Amal is the one everyone should be in awe of!
9. Shortly after their marriage, George opened up about how his life had changed now that he was a married man: "I'm a much happier person and we have a very happy life."
"We enjoy many of the same things and I very much enjoy the projects that she takes on because they have real consequence."
10. Even George's friends know that Amal has changed him for the better! George's good friend Julia Roberts said that she can see Amal's influence.
"Only when we're at their house I see the influence. In a beautiful way that all wives kind of have a beautiful, loving influence over their husbands."
11. Amal's BFF Jae Kim also opened up and revealed that Amal wasn't sure she was ever going to meet someone up to her standards!
"The list of things she was looking for in this man, she readily admitted, could not realistically be found in one person. She was looking for Mr. Perfect, and he was nowhere to be found." UNTIL SHE FOUND GEORGE!!!
12. It's adorable that George is constantly in awe of Amal. He's so proud of her! "I'm always very proud of her when I see her speaking at the International Court of Appeals in Strasbourg. It's very impressive."
13. As if this couple couldn't get any cuter, George continues to have nothing but wonderful things to say about Amal: "At 52, I found the love of my life and I'm really happy."
14. The couple recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary! They spent then night out and people reported that they were very affectionate towards each other and were super cute!
I mean, obviously they were super cute.
15. So how does the couple stay together with their busy schedules? George admits that it's all down to careful planning.
"Our only adjustments are figuring out our schedules. Our deal is that we can't be more than a week apart. So far that's worked out pretty well."
