Celebrity kids: Sometimes the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. 

But sometimes it does and it's awesome. If that metaphor is lost on you, don't worry – I'm not thrilled with it either. 

Whatever – here are 12 celebrities whose spawn have surpassed them in coolness!

Then there's the kids of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air...

4. Jaden started out doing movies with his dad, Will Smith, like in Karate Kid and The Pursuit of Happyness(yep, with a "y" in there), but now he's breaking boundries as a gender-fluid model in Louis Vuitton Womenswear SS16.

5. Willow Smith, Jaden's sister whose musical trajectory seems to be a more psychedelic sound and boasts 2011 smash hit "Whip My Hair."

6. Well he's not their parent, but it turns out Justin Bieber's siblings are way more ballin' than he is.

7. With two celeb parents, this little guy is certainly no stranger to the camera! You hardly notice Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel in the picture. The focus in all on Silas!

11. Suri Cruise steals the show wherever she goes looking and acting like a fashion diva! Top Gunand Dawson's Creekain't got nothing on her.

12. And finally, North West, daughter of Twitter-disturber Kanye West. 

North doesn't care if you're in the middle of a hoity toity fashion show. So either she'll be a musical genius like her father or just curse people out on Twitter... like her father.
