Why These Two Women On 'The Bachelor' Hooked Up With Each Other And Not The Guy

You can find love anywhere if you look hard enough.

Finding it on TV is one of those places you shouldn't be looking for it. I mean, all the cameras can't be good for you.

There's so much pressure. 

So when you hear about dating show relationships lasting, you're always thinking "Okay there, bud." But this story is different.

The Bachelor is pretty simple:

A bunch of hot women compete, backstab and lie their way into one man's heart. He chooses from an increasingly smaller and smaller group of women until there's only one dude and duedette left. 

I like to think of it like Survivorbut instead of doing feats of strength and being voted off, it's just a bunch of dates.

Australia's The Bachelor was no different than the American reality dating show and in this case, 25 contestants were vying for the heart of male model Richie Strahan.

But he's not important. Forget him.

What matters are these two foxy ladies...

And it started with a cocktail dinner that had a completely different purpose...

You see, while dating the the same dude, Bachelorcontestants Megan Marx and Tiffany Scanlon ended up falling for each other!

I mean, how couldn't you at that point?

27-year-old Megan Marx went onto Instagram Monday to celebrate her lady's 30th birthday and to explain where their love came from. 

“From that first cocktail party, it was like this instant calibration between souls, as if we had known each other once before,” she said. “Friendship ripened into something bolder, trust in a very strange situation was formed, and now every adventure we have rivals the other — and continues to make plans for itself.”

I mean, no one is surprised especially since Megan was constantly avoiding the Bachelor's kisses and ASKING to leave the show. But that's okay because now...

She ended up volunteering to leave the show.

Megan called Scanlon her “favorite person.” and went on to thank her “for loving people with such a wholesome love that I don’t know if I would ever be able to emulate.”

Scanlon thanked Marx for the birthday surprises which was basically surrounding the “mind blowingly spectacular” trip to the Abrolhos islands, Australia.

Scanlon said that “Meeting Megan this year felt like destiny... Life is a journey... It goes by quickly, so fill it with love, laughter and happiness!”

She continued: “The past few months with her in her hometown of Geraldton have been bliss and today’s adventure was the cherry on top. I know we will have many more adventures for many years to come and when she turns 30, I will have to try to top this!”

But then what are their thoughts on the show that many claim is a giant contrived lie?

Megan Marx said that she's thankful to have been put on a dating show to find the "perfect man" even if what she found was a woman.

“I think when you first meet someone, you know when there’s potential to fall in love with that person.”

Wonder what happened to the dude who missed out on these two women? Me neither. 

Strahan eventually chose Alex Nation, a 25-year-old mother of one.
