13 Things Everyone Should Know About Milo Ventimiglia

I get so excited about Tuesday nights. And you might think that that's a weird thing to be excited about but that's when my new favorite show airs on NBC! Is anyone else just absolutely obsessed with This Is Us right now?! No spoilers but this show is an emotional roller coaster every episode – and it's so worth it! I also love it because it has Milo Ventimiglia and I've loved him since Gilmore Girlsand Heroes. He's been in so many successful projects but he kind of remains this mysterious guy. But here's everything you need to know about the star of fall TV's latest hit! 

1. Milo was named after the character Milo Minderbinder in the book Catch-22.

I love that book!

2. He once starred in Fergie's music video for "Big Girls Don't Cry" and he said he loved acting with her in it!

3. His character in Gilmore Girlswas supposed to get a spin-off called Windward Circle where it followed Jess as he moved to Venice, California. 

Unfortunately, the network never picked it up because they said it was too expensive to film there!

4. Milo's adorable crooked smile that all the girls drooled over in Gilmore Girls is actually a result of dead nerves! He said that it causes the left side of his mouth to stay immobile. 

5. Milo and his Heroes co-star Adrian Pasdar were actually supposed to star in the Gilmore Girls spin-off together! Adrian was supposed to play the older brother of Jess! 

And then eight years later, they would play brothers in Heroes!

6. Milo dated his Gilmore Girls co-star Alexis Bledel from 2002 to 2006. Even though they broke up, he admitted that they had actually discussed marriage!

Awwwwww. I love when actors get together after falling in love on set!

7. He has a star tattoo on his arm and it's a reference to a lyric in an Elvis Presley song called "Pocketful of Rainbows." In the song, there's a lyric that says: "Got a pocketful of rainbows, got a star up my sleeve."

8. Milo made his acting debut in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Airback in 1995!

I just love Milo in anything he acts in!

9. Milo revealed that he instantly knew that This Is Us was something he wanted to be a part of when he read the script for the first episode. 

10. He's admitted that while he's watching the show, he'll cry up to three times during the episode. "It's really moving television and it's not because I know these characters, but in the assembly of these episodes, they've done an incredible job of making people feel."

11. Milo loved that he grew up with two sisters but he remembers this one time when his sisters made him dress up as Madonna!

You know what? I bet he really did rock those cone bras that Madonna is famous for!

12. One of his most prized possessions is a '67 Chevelle Super Sport, which he named Evelyn!

13. Milo admitted that he was ecstatic that the Gilmore Girls cast was going to reunite and he was honored to be stepping back into the shoes of Jess. 

"For me, it was always one of those jobs where people would ask me the question, ‘If the opportunity came up...‘ or, ‘If they did a movie…’ or this or that -- and my answer was always, ‘Yes.'"
