It's time to work that brain again, Diply friends! The latest equation to get people all riled up is a simple math problem that is surprisingly tricky. Can you figure it out?

Let's take a look!

Are you ready for it?

Good, let's get to it.

So it looks simple enough, right?

We have some subtraction, addition, and multiplication going on.

Shouldn't we just go right through the equation and tally up the total?

3 minus 3 is 0, multiplied by 6 is 0, add 2, and you get 2. Right?

Sorry!

There is one major principle called the order of operations that must be obeyed when solving this equation. Let's see how it can be solved...

Remember PEMDAS?

This rule dictates that one must start with parentheses, then move to exponents, multiplication, division, addition, and then subtraction.

This means we should start with 3 multiplied by 6, giving us 18.

Can you solve it from here given this hint?

The answer is below! Be careful now.

This is your last chance to solve it on your own. It's more rewarding that way, right?

After doing the multiplication, we are left with 3 - 18 + 2.

This gives us -15 + 2, which is -13. There you have it!
