COMMENTand tell us what you think of Adele!
Adele has come a long way, especially over the last ten or so years.
Look how cute and little and adorable and toothless she is!!! AHH! It's hard to believe she's just six years old here and has no idea what her life is going to be like.
Fun fact: Adele claims that this was the last time she ever read a book. It was Roald Dahl's Matilda.
Can you just imagine 16-year-old Adele? Wouldn't she have been the sassiest most foul-mouthed teen ever?
We like to think so anyway.
In 2007, Adele had just graduated from the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology. Her classmates actually included Leona Lewis and Jessie J.
She got her start pretty quickly after graduation. Literally just months later she was signed to XL Recordings and released her first single, "Hometown Glory."
At 19 years old, she released her first album, titled 19. It immediately entered the British charts at #1.
During Adele's first brief tour in North America, Billboard magazine stated that, "Adele truly has potential to become among the most respected and inspiring international artists of her generation."
They nailed it.
Adele came out with her second album in 2011, titled 21. That album went on to hit the #1 spot in 26 countries.
When she performed "Someone Like You" at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, it became her second number one single, after "Rolling in the Deep."
In 2012, Adele had to take a break to give her vocal chords some rest. Adele then wrote, composed and recorded the theme song for Skyfall, which won her a Golden Globe and an Academy Award.
In 2012, Adele gave birth to her first child, Angelo. She's kept this part of her life extremely private.
Just before her 26th birthday in 2014, Adele tweeted, "Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year x." Everybody assumed this meant her next album would be titled 25and it would be released in a few months.
It wouldn't be until November 20th of 2015 that 25was actually released.
And the world just wasn't prepared for how amazing it was.
The world also wasn't prepared to hear "Hello" 900 times a day on the radio, but we adjusted.
Adele is embarking on her first tour since 2011 and people are LOVING it. This woman is pure, raw talent.
Adele has certainly changed A LOT over the years, we can't wait to see what she comes up with next. SHAREif you agree!
