The Kid From 'Two And A Half Men' Is Unrecognizable Now

SHARE

Kid actors have a sweet gig because they can say blunt, rude things and everyone awws.

That shtick can pay for their house for years. And unfortunately, in most cases (if parents haven't siphoned their money), they can use that money to fuel addictions and other vices. Sorry, this got dark real fast.

Angus T. Jones made a living playing Jake Harper AKA Charlie Sheen's nephew in Two and A Half Men. I mean, $300,000 ain't bad. So he was one of the highest paid actors in history. But he didn't start out that way. He was born in Austin, Texas being the oldest of two brothers.

COMMENTand tell us what you think of his transformation!

1. This was way back in 2001, when Angus broke onto the scene with See Spot Run, years after leaving Austin, Texas.

It's the classic Hollywood story: a mailman takes in a stray dog and learns that it's a trained FBI dog fleeing from the witness protection program being chased by a crime boss.

2. The year after that, he starred with movie legend Dennis Quaid in The Rookie. The movie is based on the true story of Jim Morris, who had a brief but famous year in Major League Baseball at the age of 35.

Serious star power in this film! Wonder how he snagged that.

3. In 2003, Angus starred with Queen Latifah in the comedy, Bringing Down The House.

In the film he played one of the kids who was won over by Latifah's unorthodox antics!

4. Then, in a role where he probably wishes everyone would forget, he was the son of George Of The Jungle in the film's straight-to-video sequel...

Real Tagline: "Watch out for the Sequel" (Shudder)

But that was the same year that his life would change forever...

5. In 2003, Angus T. Jones snagged his role where he'd grow into an adult: Two and A Half Men on CBS.

He played Jake Harper, the son of Jon Cryer's uptight character who is forced to move in with his brother, Charlie Harper. Hilarity ensues because the brothers clash on their lifestyles.

6. He played the dim-witted boy who had a heart that was unquestionable.

Throughout the run he'd run in a bevy of stunning actresses who'd comment on how cute he was – but he wouldn't let the compliments get to him.

7. In 2005, he played Charlie, a young boy who lost his mother in The Christmas Blessing. He got to team-up with Neil Patrick Harris in the made-for-TV movie.

8. By 2007, he was the kid everyone was talking about, since he was on a hit show and one of CBS's most highly-rated shows on Monday night.

Here he is looking dapper alongside his co-stars at the People's Choice Awards at the Shrine Auditorium.

He'd grow out of the cute kid into a teenager right before our eyes and then transformed into something else entirely...

9. Here he is with the the entire cast of Two and a Half Menat the People's Choice Awards in 2009.

He was rocking the moppy hairdo and was also starting to wear on-point glasses.

10. He was all about the rabbit ears ensemble at the 17th annual Dream Halloween event in October 2010.

11. He stuck around when Charlie Sheen was booted off the show and replaced with Aston Kutcher in 2011.

By this point he was given more adult story lines including being a heavy marijuana user and was starting to feel uncomfortable with it all.

12. But in 2012, in an interview with Forerunner Chronicles, a Christian group, he said: Jake from Two and a Half Men means nothing. He is a non-existent character... I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth."

Yikes... and although he was scheduled to return for the 11th seventh in a recurring role, he was no where to be found. They wrote him out of the show.

Once he left the show, that's when he really embraced the whole "prophet in the wilderness" persona...

13. Now 19 years old, Angus stayed away from TV and mostly focused on evangelizing and trying to atone for his famous role.

2013 was the first year he'd start working the scraggly beard.

14. In 2014, he told a Texas radio station, that he was a "paid hypocrite" being on the show that made him a star.

"It was making light of topics in our world that are really problems for a lot of people, and I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn't okay with it, but I was still doing it."

15. One of his last sightings was in 2016 on Venice Beach and now believed to be a student at the University of Colorado..

CRAZY transformation, right??
