Corgi Has Trouble With The Stairs, So His Owner Builds Him A Custom Elevator

Dogs give us so much love, it's nearly impossible to give it back to them in equal measure, try as we might. Throwing a stick for hours on end doesn't seem to do them justice, and neither does cuddling with them on the couch. All the bones and all the chew toys in the world don't even stack up, do they?

Only when our faithful companions start to get up there in years can we start taking care of them as much as they take care of us. As hard as it can be at times, you can't argue that they haven't earned it. Nevertheless, it's heartwarming to the extreme to see what one owner did for his stairway-challenged friend.

Corgis are as cute as dogs come, but like so many pure breeds, they can have health problems that affect their mobility.

And even if they avoid their genetic landmines, age takes a bite out of us all eventually. But this corgi's owner wasn't going to let a little mobility problem come between them.

His elevator is a simple machine, something he has to be on hand to load the corgi into, send it up or down, and let it out of so that accidents can be avoided.

And by the looks of things, the corgi cargo arrives at the top no worse for wear, and there was no risk of further injuring the pooch by mishandling him trying to carry him up and down the stairs.

When the corgi is ready to head from one floor to the other, he knows to go to the door and wait – his owner will be along soon enough to transfer him.

Isn't this just the coolest and kindest relationship?
