People Are Grossed Out By Olympic Diving Pool Turning Green

There are some things in this world that will always be unexplained. An example of this would be something like the Great Pyramids of Giza. Everything in the entire Pyramid complex is thousands of years old, but we're still here trying to figure out exactly how it all worked, how it was built, and who did what. Think about the "slaves," that worked on the Pyramids. We're now finding out that they weren't actually slaves, instead, they were paid laborers who garnered great amounts of respect for their work. The world will forever be full of mysteries, but humanity doesn't enjoy the unknown, which is why people become upset when they can't figure something out. That's exactly what's happening at Rio 2016.

People started asking questions as to why the water was turning green throughout Tuesday, especially since it was a pleasant blue in the morning.

Unfortunately for the women's synchronized diving teams, the finals were taking place in that very pool, though that didn't stop them from continuing!

Martyn Ziegler, a reporter for The Times, tweeted, "#greenpool - @toniacouch says it was so green she couldn't see dive partner @LoisToulson under the water #Rio2016."

Even Tom Daley, a diver from Great Britain that won bronze, was taken back by the weird color.

Officials have reported that tests came back saying the water was safe, though they're unsure what caused it to change color.

According to CBC, some Olympians believe that the discoloration came from algae in the water which had the perfect amount of heat and sunlight to grow out of control.

If that was me in that water, I would be scrambling for my life, trying to get out as fast as possible!
