With the world being as big as it is, it's easy to understand why there are so many different people. 100 years ago, traveling was extremely cumbersome and took really long amounts of time to go even mediocre distances. As cars and planes began to catch on, the need to improve them and make those forms of transportation even more accessible to the masses became apparent. Needless to say, when we started closing the gaps around the world, we weren't the biggest fans of each other. While most people have found ways to get along, some still refuse to cooperate. Luckily, there's one event every four years that brings people from every nation together to celebrate with one another.
That event is none other than the Olympics. Countries from all around the world send their best athletes from each sport to compete against one another but, rather than showing animosity towards one another, many of them smile and just embrace the presence of everyone else. The Olympics seem to become more and more interesting every single time. Records are broken, new people rise to the top of their sport, and outright amazing things happen. This Olympics has been no exception. Usain Bolt crushed his competition and was even able to flash a smile for the camera DURING the race, the Fiji rugby team won the country's first gold, Katie Ledecky completely demolished her competition, and so many other great athletes recorded fantastic memories.
