Trump Just Changed Obama's Oval Office Decor And People Are Definitely Talking

SHARE
Did you know that each incoming president has the option to restyle their Oval Office? Well, Donald Trump has decided to completely change the style that Barack Obama had and people are pretty excited about it. Check out his new office for yourself...

Leave a COMMENT on Facebook letting us know what you think about Trump's Oval Office makeover.

The Oval Office has seen some of the most historic presidential moments. After all, this is the office where many major foreign and domestic policy decisions are made.

Every president has a different style choice for this important room, though.

As you can see in this photo, Kennedy had a blue and gray scheme to his Oval Office.

Richard Nixon had a plain scheme that included white curtains.

Both Kennedy and Nixon seemed to want to have a low-key, less flashy office.

George HW Bush had a blue scheme with cream and gray curtains.

Let's take a look at how Barack Obama customized his Oval Office...

Obama is known to have mixed things up a bit. Here he is pictured sitting on his desk with red curtains behind him.

This isn't the only style choice Obama added.

Here is an aerial shot of Obama's Oval Office taken when he left office last week.

In addition to the red curtains, Obama had a less ornate rug with quotes from Martin Luther King Jr. as well as several previous presidents.

Obama also famously replaced the Winston Churchill sculpture with one of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Here is Obama in the Oval Office with the bust.

Trump is turning some heads with his new scheme...

It's well-known that Donald Trump has a ritzy style. This is a shot of him with his family in his lavish New York apartment. He happens to love gold – lots of gold. Who doesn't, right?

This may prepare you a bit for the style changes that he made to the Oval Office.

Let's take a look, shall we?

Moments after being sworn into office, President Trump got to work in the Oval Office and signed his first executive action.

Notice anything different about the room? Those gold curtains! They definitely bring Donald's style into this historic room.

Let's take a wider look at the room. As you can see in the back of the room, Winston Churchill's bust is back!

What happened to the MLK bust, though?

Incoming Press Secretary Sean Spicer has an answer for that...

In a tweet from incoming Press Secretary Sean Spicer, he notes that the MLK bust is still in the Oval Office, just in a different spot.

It's always great to be as inclusive as possible, am I right?

In addition to the new bust and curtains, Trump wanted this sunburst gold and yellow rug.

We may need some more photos from the inside of his office to know if he changed anything else, but for now, it looks fabulous.

This could be the full view of Trump's rug, according to some.

This is a digital rendering of George W. Bush's rug. Let's see, though...

Here it is during Bush's time in office.

Looks very similar to Trump's new rug.

In fact, Reagan and Bush used the same rug as well, meaning Trump could have decided to use this rug to honor the legacy of beloved Republican Ronald Reagan.

Donald Trump did keep some things similar to Obama's Oval Office. He kept the Resolute desk.

This desk may be one of the most famous presidential desks.

Here is a classic photo of John F. Kennedy working at the Resolute desk as John Junior plays underneath.

Several other presidents have used it as well...

Jimmy Carter used it.

So did Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.

Here is a recent shot of Trump at the Resolute desk.

Now you know a whole lot more about the history of style in the Oval Office. I bet they were discussing the details of the curtain change right here...
