Let's hear the story of Kalani and Jarani Dean.
COMMENT on Facebook letting us know what you think of these two adorable girls.
The world loves twin babies. Seeing a near copy of the same adorable baby just does it for us.
Interestingly, though, children can be twins but also look completely different, or even have a totally different skin color.
Meet fraternal twins Kalani (left) and Jarani Dean (right) from Quincy, Illinois.
How is it possible, though, that twins have completely different skin colors?
It's quite rare (1 in 500 chance) that twins from interracial parents have different skin tones, but it's possible!
The twins pictured here are Kian and Remee who have been extensively covered in the media for their interesting and rare inheritance.
Pretty cool.
Let's take a look at some adorable pictures of the twins and get to know their parents...
Look at how they rock the camera!
Adorable!
Kalani picked up her father's darker skin tone and Jarani inherited her mother's.
The twins are a spitting image of their parents.
Let's meet them!
Here are the twins' parents: Whitney Meyer and Thomas Dean.
"No one believes they're twins," said Whitney in an interview. "When we go out in public, people will start looking at them because I dress them identical and I can tell they're confused," she added.
In fact, Whitney couldn't believe her eyes when she first saw her twin daughters.
"I asked the doctor why Kalani's skin was so white!" she said. "I couldn’t figure out why she looked so different from her sister," added Whitney.
I can definitely see the resemblance to both parents.
"They are my miracle babies," said their mother.
Our hearts go out to this beautiful family!
