Newborn Baby Shares Same Birthday As Mom AND Dad

When Hillary and Luke met in college, they knew they were the same age, but it wasn't until Luke saw Hillary's Facebook profile that he realized they had the exact same birthday: December 18th. They've celebrated together ever since and got married in 2012. 

It was a fun coincidence when their obstetrician told them the due date for their first child would be December 19th. But then Hillary went into labor at 2:30 a.m. on the morning of the 18th.

Luke told ABC News that "everyone at the hospital was going crazy. They couldn't believe it."

Hillary said that they were so excited about the baby, that they almost forgot it was her and Luke's birthdays, too. 

The family didn't forget about them, though.

 "Luke's mom had a cake already made for us and when she found out Cade was going to be born, she went back and had his name put on the cake," she continued. 

The baby boy, Cade Lee Gardner, came into the world at 10:01 a.m. 

Born at Mississippi Medical Center-Women's Hospital, Cade weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce.

Mom and Dad know that from here on out, Cade's birthday takes the cake.

"We'll have the corner of the cake, probably," Luke said.
