Welcome back to another edition of "our amazing world." If you missed the first collection, you can find it here. It is our ongoing mission to show you the most recent, interesting pictures we could find that either inspire, teach, or remind you just how incredible life really is.

We tend to get so caught up in our daily lives that we become complacent - thinking that we've seen everything there is to be seen. Hopefully this gallery will serve as a gentle reminder that there is always something to discover.

1. These are caterpillars, not snakes. They look and act like a snake to ward off predators.

2. Grass after it has been struck by lightning.

3. All the water on our planet is contained in that sphere. The estimated amount of water (1,338,000,000 km³) fits into a sphere with a diameter of 860 miles.

4. This visually explains how focal length effects the scale of objects in photography. Try not to stare too long.

5. Barrel rolling an F-16 while firing off its defensive flares.

6. A beautiful ice cave in Iceland. There are so many amazing things to see in life.

7.

8. ...And while we're looking at long-exposure shots, this plane's takeoff looks like a rainbow road.

9. This is what a water bottle looks like before compressed air is added.

10. Fire reflecting off birds who are flying through the smoke.

11. The effects of bad posture on your body over time. Everyone just sit up straight.

12.

13. Hubble Telescope captures smiley face in space. This is only speculation, but the bending light that helped create this image could mean there is a black hole between that heavenly body and earth.

14. So this one is rather interesting. The undulatus asperatus clouds have only been proposed as a separate classification since 2009. They can appear ominous, but have not been witnessed causing precipitation.

15. If you haven't been formally introduced, this is Andromeda, the Milky Way's closest galaxy neighbor. We are on a collision course that will merge both galaxies in roughly 4,000,000,000 years...give or take.

16. The Dubai skyline at night, through an immense fog.

17. This orangutan was released from a zoo, and began spear fishing after watching fishermen in Borneo do the same.

18. An ant stuck in a droplet of water. Surface tension, am I right?

19. Amazing starry night as seen from Yosemite National Park, U.S.
