These Glass Blowers Will Turn Ashes Into Beautiful Keepsake Memorials

SHARE
It can be hard to say goodbye when you lose a loved one, and sometimes we're at a loss for how to memorialize them. Greg and Christina Dale created the company Artful Ashes in 2012 with the idea of creating works of glass art that could display the ashes of their loved ones. The business is based in Seattle, but with a special collection kit they can create these memorials for people all over the country. Any ashes that remain unused in the cremation process will be sent back with the memorial, carefully packaged.

Artful Ashes is also very careful to treat all the ashes they receive with respect and care, and comprehensive IDs and tracking are used to ensure that the ashes are never confused with someone else's. When not in production, the ashes are kept in a safe.

They have a huge selection of styles available.

You can match the color scheme to your loved one's favorite colors, and choose between a heart or an orb.

Each glass creation uses a tablespoon of ashes.

They are swirled into the glass, along with the colors chosen.

The orbs and hearts are made by hand by talented glass blowers and artists.

You can even get a stand that lights up.

The light will shine through the glass and swirls, giving the memorial a lovely glow.

What do you think? Would you have a memorial like this made for someone you've lost? Or would you want your family to do this for you when you pass? Let us know in the COMMENTS!
