1. Taylor Lautner began his acting career with small TV parts.
Appearing on shows like The Bernie Mac Show, Summerland, and My Wife and Kids in 2003-2004. He also earned some voice-over roles for shows like Danny Phantom and What's New, Scooby Doo?
2. Taylor spent a lot of years growing up dedicated to karate and other sports.
He had already earned his black belt by age 8, and his physical skill would carry on into his acting career.
3. By 2005, Taylor had landed his first starring role in a major film.
Playing the titular Sharkboy in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Taylor Lautner's karate skills impressed director Robert Rodriguez so much that he was allowed to choreograph all of his own fight scenes.
4. Then came probably the most important role of Lautner's career thus far: Jacob.
At first a lot of Twilightfans didn't like the fact that he was cast as Jacob Black, but everyone came around. It was a turning point for him, and he was nominated for Male Breakthrough Performance at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.
Then his babe status kicked in...
Just wait to see what he looks like NOW with purple hair...
7. By the end of filming the Twilight Saga, Lautner had made quite the splash in Hollywood.
Everyone knew he was the highest paid teen actor, and he was #2 on Glamour'sSexiest Man Alive list. You could hardly go anywhere without hearing about Taylor Lautner.
8. He recently dyed his hair lavender for his newest role in Scream Queens.
He's also had film roles such as The Ridiculous 6 and starring in the BBC comedy Cuckoo. Lautner is always keeping busy and we love him for it.
