Mary-Kate Reveals The REAL Reason Why The Olsens Were Not On 'Fuller House'

Michelle Tanner was basically EVERYTHING to us on Full House.

That's just a damn fact. She had attitude. She was funny. Cool. She never disappointed when she was on screen. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen took turns playing the character growing up. In a way, they're both the embodiment of the '90s. 

And we love 'em for it. But recently things changed.

The little tyke in pink of this awesome mess of a family was Michelle Tanner. Not sure which Olsen is in this pic, tbh.

She's being held by her father, Danny (Bob Saget) who was basically the TV dad we all needed.

On set, both were prepped for scenes because of child labor laws. They'd tag-team the role. There were only four times they were on-screen at the same time.

John Stamos made everyone feel things... nothing has changed nowadays.

Their role on Full House skyrocketed both of the fraternal twins to international success.

I mean they both started a clothing line for young girls – and sold movies, books and every kind of merch you can think of!

Back in February, Netflix dropped the sequel – Fuller House. But one character was missing and EVERYONE noticed.  

But no one uttered a peep.

But when it came time to reprise their role in Fuller House they were no where to be found... what gives? The Olsens have come out and set the record straight!

The most we got out of the cast was from Dave Coulier: "when we get together and we reminisce, they were babies [at the time]. So they don’t share those same memories. I can’t really speak for them but I would understand why they don’t have the same sentiments that we all do."

 "They’re family members. But I think they have a different perspective."

The most we got on the show was this moment when Michelle was mentioned on the show and the cast LOOKED at the camera...

Or when Kimmy Gibbler threw a bit of shade.The Olsens' clothing line was name-dropped and Kimmy said, "At these prices, no wonder they don't need to act anymore."

But turns out that Ashley Olsen was Camera-shy! She said "I have not been in front of a camera since I was 17, and I don’t feel comfortable acting."

That's what she told executive producer Bob Boyett.

So then the pressure was on Mary-Kate...

Mary-Kate said, "It would have to be me because Ash doesn’t want to do it. But the timing is so bad for us."

I mean the New York Times did say that Mary-Kate is a fashion icon and both are the faces of the Badgley Mischka since 2006! They're super busy.

They just don't have time to commit to Fuller House.

But there might be a hope for a cameo in Fuller House's season two. So who knows!
