Woman Catches A Blue Fish That Probably Swam Straight Out Of 'Finding Dory'

SHARE
Don't be fooled by this photo! That is not a CG fish character from Finding Nemo or Finding Dory expertly Photoshopped into this photo. It's a real fish!

In fact, it's a scaruscoeruleus, a blue parrotfish! Parrotfish come in all sorts of colors, but the blue ones are probably the most famous because they are the only known species to have such an incredible coloring.

Parrotfish live in coral reefs, where the water is shallow.

Most commonly, they can be found in the western Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. They eat algae scraped off rocks, as well as the tiny organisms found in the coral and sand of their habitat.

Still, it's hard to believe this fish is real!

It looks so much like a cartoon character!

I mean look at that face!

It seems very surprised that it's been caught!

It has teeth!

But somehow the beak-like mouth makes it cuter, not scarier. The teeth grind up rocks it ingests while scrounging for food.

Don't you think it looks cute? Or does it totally creep you out? Tell us in the COMMENTS!

Upon seeing the last picture, one of my fellow writers noted that he looked as though he was about to give Nemo's dad poor directions. He totally does!
