After Miscarrying Six Times, Woman With Two Vaginas Finally Gives Birth

SHARE
There are so many things in life that are truly miraculous. Take childbirth. It's such a complex process that is, for the most part, automated. While you do have to watch what you consume and what you're putting yourself near, it pretty much just goes along smoothly for most people. Sadly, for some people, giving birth or becoming pregnant doesn't come as easily. Some people are born with different defects that could be a result of a genetic anomaly, or just be unique in some way of their own, whether it be good or bad. For one particular woman, pregnancy was something of a challenge.

Meet Faye Wilkins.

Faye was born with a rare condition known as uterus didelphys.

That means she actually has two wombs.

In Faye's case, however, she has an even rarer form, one that gives her two vaginas and two cervixes.

Unfortunately for Faye, doctors told her that the likelihood of her having children would be slim.

But, even after six miscarriages, she kept trying.

On her seventh try, Faye had an egg successfully implant in her right womb and make it past the twelve-week mark. Her first child, Molly, was born in 2009.

After a brief stint of joy, Faye wanted to have another child, only to be met with another miscarriage...

Still, she kept trying. Eventually, she had an egg implanted in her left womb.

Five years after Molly's birth, Faye gave birth to George, her second child.

In terms of having another child, Faye seems content where she's at.

"I don’t have plans for any more children, I already have two beautiful kids and couldn’t be happier — I’m the luckiest woman in the world," Faye said.

Despite the odds, and being told she couldn't have children, Faye stayed hopeful and was rewarded.

Her story is truly touching and miraculous.
