Senior Invites Best Friend's Sister With Down Syndrome To Prom

SHARE
What freshman girl wouldn't be excited to have a senior ask her to the prom? Well, 15-year-old Carlie Wittman is now going to senior prom with her older brother's best friend, who asked her to join him in the cutest promposal. No wonder she has such a big smile!

Shaedon Wedel is a senior at Newton High School and when he posted on Twitter that he "Can't wait for prom with this sweet gal," it garnered half a million likes.

Cailie has Down syndrome, but has never let that stop her from anything.

He clearly knew her well, wearing a special t-shirt that said, "I know I'm NACHO your typical Dorito but..."

On the back the question is completed with, "I'm going to be CHEESY and ask: will you go to prom with me?"

"Ever since I've known her, she's loved Doritos," he told the local news station.

Alongside the Doritos-themed t-shirt and vase with a rose, he also presented Carlie with a bag of her favorite snack.

Shaedon is clear that he didn't do it for the likes: "I did it to make her happy. She deserves a lot."

"Knowing her for seven years now, she's brought nothing but joy to my life. Anyone who's ever around her, she makes them laugh, she always has a smile on her face. She's amazing," he continued. She'll be joining him at prom at the end of April.

He made her day! SHAREthis story with all your friends!
