Remember those words before every episode?! I remember like it was yesterday when watching that show was the highlight of my week! Can you believe it's been four years since we found out that Dan Humphrey was Gossip Girl? It's been too long since we got to watch attractive, young people in Manhattan wearing gorgeous designer clothes and causing drama.Gossip Girlis over but this article can be your one and only source into the scandalous show!
1. Blake Lively was fitted for Serena's wedding dress the day after her actual wedding to Ryan Reynolds!
I'm still not over what a perfect couple Blake and Ryan are. #RelationshipGoals all around.
2. At first, the network really wanted Ashley Olsen and Rumer Willis as Blair and Serena! It's good that didn't end up happening because Blake and Leighton Meester are perfect for the roles!
Wait, what?! That would have been such a weird show...
3. From the very beginning, the writers and producers always knew that Chuck and Blair would always end up together. They were endgame from the beginning! #ChairForever
4. The network really didn't want Ed Westwick to play Chuck. They said that Ed looked like a serial killer and not a male lead! Jokes on them!
Can you seriously picture anyone else saying, "I'm Chuck Bass"? YOU CAN'T. BECAUSE ED IS CHUCK.
5. Blair and Serena were besties on the show (and sometimes they were enemies...) but IRL, Blake and Leighton didn't really talk much when the cameras stopped rolling.
Too bad they were not BFFs IRL too.
6. The costume designers wanted Blair's style to be like Audrey Hepburn's and Serena's fashion after Sienna Miller and Kate Moss.
Blair is classic and tailored while Serena is boho chic! Either way, I would have DIED for all their clothes!
7. After a test screening, the producers asked the audience who they thought Gossip Girl was. They all answered Dan Humphrey! They assumed from a scene where Dan was typing as the voiceover was happening.
8. Penn Badgley found out Dan was Gossip Girl RIGHT before they shot the scene where he reveals himself.
9. Even though Jenny Humphrey and Blair were always fighting with each other, they ended up making up! In the finale, Jenny carries a "J by Waldorf" bag which means she had her own line with Blair's fashion company!

10. There was supposed to be a spin-off featuring Lily Van der Woodsen and her sister when they were younger. AND it would have included characters from The O.C.
Gossip Girl AND The O.C. characters sharing the screen?! OMG WHY DIDN'T THIS GET MADE?!
11. The Empire Hotel that Chuck owned is a hotel IRL! They even serve Gossip Girl-themed cocktails!
*BOOKS TICKET TO NYC* They even have an "XOXO" cocktail that has secret ingredients that they'll never tell...
13. Leighton Meester had to dye her naturally blonde hair brunette JUST to audition for the show! Good thing she got the part!
14. Jenny was supposed to get her own spin-off show where she goes to boarding school in Europe! But it never happened and Taylor Momsen ended up just leaving the show.

15. Penn literally was about to quit acting when he got the role of Dan. He turned down the role twice before his agent convinced him to do it!
