16 Times Arizona Just Couldn't

When it comes to being the most "nope" state, it seems like Florida has that title locked down. But after a quick review, it looks like Florida might have some stiff competition. While the Sunshine State has gators, Arizona has scorpions. Where Florida has swamps, Arizona has unforgiving deserts. 

To be clear, there's no real way to determine the winner. Both states have a lot to offer, but when it comes to the not-so-good side of things... Let's just call it even.

With beautiful oases like Havasu Falls, it's hard to believe that this was taken in the same state as the following pictures.

1. When this sandstorm rolled in over Phoenix.

Fun fact: this is technically called a haboob.

2. Or when a couple found this snake curled up in the corner of a hotel room.

3. When this road couldn't hack the Arizona heat.

4. The time when the weather couldn't make up its mind.

That is some serious hail.

5. When this dumpster just wasn't holding up to the heat.

6. Whenever this street was named.

Where did this come from?!

7. Literally every time you need to put pot holders on the door handles.

8. When this bobcat managed to get on top of a 40-foot cactus.

Way to go, little guy!

9. When a toad managed to completely take down the enemy.

10. When someone actually photographed this absolutely massive bug without running away screaming.

11. When this was enough of a problem to warrant putting these signs on dumpsters.

12. That time when it was hot enough to evaporate water straight from a swimmer's skin.

Oh wait, that's like, all the time.

13. Every time flash floods render the highways useless.

When it rains, it pours.

14. The time when someone tried to get a fresh egg.

15. When it was so hot that the COLD water was 93 degrees.

16. And when they tried to disguise a cell tower and failed miserably.

In summary, Arizona can and will destroy anything you leave to it.
