At the VMAs, Drake presented Rihanna with the Vanguard Award.
Before he gave her the award, he gave a very cute speech to the millions of viewers just waiting for any confirmation that they were dating.
And then he did it! He confirmed it to the world! He literally said out loud that he was in love with her!
“She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old. She’s one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her even though she’s younger than me.”
It's official. They're together and the music industry has a new power couple. But here are all the times they already proved that they were dating.

1. Back in 2009, Page Six reported that Rihanna was spotted making out with a mystery man in a bar in Manhattan. It was later confirmed that the mystery man was Drake!
2. Rihanna kept denying that her and Drake were dating but in 2010, Drake confirmed in an interview it was "semi-true" that Rihanna and him were dating.
The plot thickens!
3. But the REAL confirmation came when he rapped about Rihanna on his song "Fireworks."
“Who could’ve predicted Lucky Strikes would have you stuck with me?" Guys, Lucky Strikes is the name of the bar that they were spotted making out in!!!!!!!
4. And then their chemistry exploded during the "What's My Name" music video.
Okay, that's not actual confirmation BUT HAVE YOU SEEN THE MUSIC VIDEO?!
5. After years of speculation, rumors started again when they performed at the 2016 BRIT Awards. Their performance for "Work" was steamy and people were convinced that they were dating!
They were grinding and shared a sweet kiss after the performance.
6. Drake also went on Saturday Night Live to poke fun at the speculation of their relationship by impersonating Rihanna. "I swear we're only friend, friend, friend, friend, friends," he sang while wearing a wig.

7. They were photographed leaving Nicole Scherzinger's birthday party. And then they were photographed hanging out at the Nice Guy in Hollywood until 5:30 AM.
8. He flew out to various cities to surprise Rihanna's fans on her ANTItour to sing "Work." Drake's busy too but he managed to make time for Rihanna. How sweet!
Does he look like a guy that's just friends with Rihanna? NOPE.
9. Drake covered RiRi's song "Stay" in front of a sold-out crowd in Belgium. And they were also spotted all around Europe having dinner dates.
10. By any chance, have you seen the music video for "Work"? Rihanna gives Drake a private dance and also is wearing a see-through outfit and twerking. Yeah, they're totally dating.
11. But the most obvious sign that they were dating? You know, besides professing his love on live TV? He bought Rihanna a billboard showing his support and congratulating her on the MTV award.
And she posted about it on her Instagram with the caption: "When he extra!!!"
12. After the MTV awards, Drake and Rihanna hung out at the after parties and then Drake posted a very sweet picture of him showing her around his hometown in Toronto.
