Bizarre, Tiny Cat Photographed In For The First Time In A Decade

SHARE
There are so many different kinds of people in the world. Realistically, however, the world boils down to two different kinds of people, but trust me, it's not what you're thinking. The two kinds of people in this world are... Cat people and dog people. Sure, there are people who like both animals, but no one likes both of them equally. It's pretty much a fact of life that you like either cats or dogs more, which is strictly opinion based. Realistically, cats are way cooler than dogs because, you know, lions and stuff. Personally, I thought we knew all about every cat out there, but it turns out there has been a cat wandering the deserts and it was recently photographed for the first time in 10 years.

Since you're here, you're likely a cat person. If you're not, you're just going to have to deal with the awesomeness of cats.

Meet the mysterious and impossibly hard-to-find "sand cat."

Other than always looking like kittens, sand cats actually have a bunch of cool characteristics that make them super awesome.

Stealth, however, is their strong suit. The pads on their paws are made to prevent leaving tracks in the sand and they're extremely small.

In 10 years, no one has captured a photo of one in the wild... Until now.

A team set out some chicken and fish cat food, as well as setting up A BUNCH of cameras. Luckily, they caught a few cameras multiple times between midnight and 6 a.m.

The reason they were to such great lengths to capture some on camera was to figure out how they live.

The ones in captivity tend to die off due to respiratory illnesses.

And let's be honest here, pictures of cute cats are always worth it.
