13 Times Every '90s Girl Wanted to Copy The Spice Girls' Style

I'd be lying if I said I was 100% a calm and normal person when it came to the Spice Girls. I was, in fact, a rabid fan. I owned all the CDs, posters, dolls, Halloween costumes and the super awesome journal where I wrote all my deepest thoughts. I was so committed to them that I didn't even have a favorite Spice Girl! I wanted to be friends with them and I wanted to be them. They were talented, cared about girl power and had amazing style. I aspired to dress like them every day. And I'm sure that every girl in the '90s did too! Here are all the times we were jealous and wished we could rock those outfits every day. 

1. When the Spice Girls were formed and Ginger Spice made us all want to dress in CGI green lycra spandex. And Posh made us wish we could rock leather-on-leather outfits. It's fashion at its best. 

2.  When they showed up to the red carpet looking baller in matching pinstripe suits and you were all like, "Yes, please. I'd like to buy a cane even though I have no trouble walking."

3. When Baby rocked a babydoll dress, Ginger looked like Wonder Woman and Scary looked majestic on the red carpet. 

4. When Posh's dress was blinding because of the fabric and Sporty rocked leather pants that were made to look like jeans. 

Was I crazy for wanting a fuzzy red scarf to drape around my neck like Ginger? 

5. When the girls not only wanted to make you drink Pepsi but also wear it too. 

Honestly, it's hard for me to even choose which one I'd wear. They're all just so fabulous. 

6. When Posh wore an optical illusion, Baby looked like a '70s disco babe and Ginger looked like she was wearing a red carpet while on the red carpet. Glamour to the max!

Please also appreciate Posh's shoes. One goes all the way up her leg and the other shoe didn't get the memo. 

7. When they wore normal clothes and we were all like, "Finally, something I can pull together from my own closet."  Don't tell me you didn't own at least one item each of the girls wore! 

I am guilty as charged for loving light pink corduroy pants.

8. When they were matching suits again were like, "Never wear white after Labor Day? Yeah, right." 

Again, I can't be the only one who wanted a cane and amazing platform shoes.

9. When Ginger proved that no shade of green was her enemy and Baby decided to rock a huge fur coat. 

And that silk hoodie that Scary is rocking? I want it. It looks comfortable AND chic. 

10. When Scary proved she didn't need to wear a regular top on the red carpet and Ginger looked like Jessica Rabbit. 

Posh is also serving up some gothic fashion. 

11. When their tour outfits expressed their personalities and all you wanted was to get up on that stage to sing and dance with them. 

I wanted to dress like Baby but now I'm all about Sporty's outfit. It looks so comfy!

12. When Scary dressed up in an ensemble looking like a beautiful painting, Scary was comfortable and ready to go on a run and Ginger wore pinstripes and velvet. 

Even though Baby's outfit seems to be the most "normal," I remember wanting to rock Scary's outfit. 

13. When they mixed and matched prints and fabrics because they were the queens of the red carpet in the '90s. 

Who didn't want to style themselves after the Spice Girls?! I'm all about Sporty's duochrome pants.
