12 Of National Geographic's Best Photographs From 2016

Each year, National Geographic compiles its best photographs and presents them in a gallery for the world to admire. The 2016 selections were narrowed down to 52 out of a whopping 2,290,225 photographs that were captured by 91 photographers and featured in 107 stories. After going through the gallery myself, I selected 12 of my favorite images, which are waiting for you in the list below.
