Recognize that adorable face?
For most of us, this classic picture of the Gerber baby has been around our entire lives.
The original sketch of this baby girl was picked up by Gerber all the way back in 1928!
Over the years, people have speculated who the baby in the advertisements was.
For some time, people thought the baby could be actress Jane Seymour.
Or even Elizabeth Taylor... But nope, the baby didn't become a celebrity. So who was it?
You have to see what she looks like all grown up!
Ann Turner Cook is now 90 years old!
I can totally see a resemblance...
The original charcoal sketch of Ann was made when she was just four months old.
Only one year after, her picture was entered into the Gerber baby food contest to be the official face of the company's baby products.
A family friend had done the sketch and promised to Gerber that she would finish the rough sketch if Ann were to be chosen.
They liked the image just how it was! She landed the spot and the rest is history. Ann is a retired English teacher, great-grandmother, and Tampa Bay native.
Here she is in 1998!
How cool is that?! Happy Birthday, Ann!
