Advertising surrounds us in every aspect of our lives in the modern era. In television and movies, on buses and bus stops, in taxis, bathrooms, newspapers, websites, magazines, on billboards and sometimes written in the sky! But as acclimated as we've become to the non-stop influx of ads, they still have a tendency to annoy the crap out of us. The worst of the worst of advertisements, however, is false advertising! There are few worse feelings than having your hopes let down, so today we're calling them out! The following is a bunch of times that I'd say are big time letdowns, as funny as they may be. What is it about advertising that annoys you the most? Let us know in the comments!
1. I have yet to find any butter that is actually spreadable
And no, I'm not going to microwave it into a puddle of butter soup...
2. Taco Bell's Twitter game is honestly so strong
Two companies calling out false advertising? I love it! Not too much of a letdown in that case.
3. Arizona?! No! How could you???
4. A bit of a mixed message at this store, you could say...
5.
And if they're not confusing like that last one, they'll be disappointing! You'll see what I mean next...
6. It's like a party in your mouth! If your mouth has a social anxiety disorder...
7. Speaking of pizza, isn't this going against, like, DiGiorno's wholething?!?!
8. Her first and last, "insta-set pool"
9. When the big reveal is a giant letdown...
10. I guess it's more of the journey than the destination for this ride...
11. At least they show you what's actually in the bag...
Could you imagine going to see Jurrasic Parkand it's just a bunch of cats? It's a movie, not the internet, amirite?!
12. When you're expecting the reaction on the box and they just look at you like, "wat?"
13. Even the animals themselves are catching on to the game...
14.
15. And just like that, BAM, proven false!
16. I was gonna make some cheesy joke here, but I was afraid it wouldn't be gouda
17. I know we've allexperienced this big letdown!
18. This last one's probably as blatant as you can get, but I appreciate the honesty...
